Its a BOY!!!

We are so excited to announce that baby bird is a BOY!! We are so very excited to know what he is now!! Its crazy to think we are having a boy! It makes it so much more fun and real!! Now we are just getting ideas for the nursery and picking out a ton of fun clothes for his arrival! This is a video of baby bird waving his hand on the right side(of the screen) like crazy and kicking mommy a ton!! He is such a wiggle worm and lets mommy know he is their all the time!!

Hello family!  I thought I'd post some recent pictures from us.  Everything is growing like crazy here.  The grass, the garden, the kids, and my belly.  I won't post any pictures of the latter.  We have had a busy and fun April.  We even pulled out the croquet set, thanks Amy and Peter!  Just think 4 rowdy munchkins with wooden sticks.  We had a great time.  I had a few less plants in the back yard thanks to Dallas' beating, but it was a good, competitive game.  James and I only have a couple weeks left of course work!!!  Just a few more meals of oatmeal for dinner and breakfast, just a few more overnight homework sessions!  Can you tell I'm excited?

Spring in Kentucky

This is a little of what we have been up to the last few weeks.

We had a great Easter with gorgeous weather. We have been playing outside every day and the weather just keeps getting better. Maren had her 2nd birthday. I made her a red rabbit carrot cake and she loved it. I got my hair cut and am still getting used to the bangs. I haven't had any since I was about 8. Marie has been entertaining us all with her seal like moves all over the floor. She is such a happy sweet baby.

Thunder is Saturday so there is still time to hit the road before the big show if anyone wants to come.

Visitors Welcome

It is April again. Which means Derby Days in Louisville. We always have lots of fun watching Thunder and the Air Show. There are many other activities like concerts, hot air balloons, marathons and much much more all leading up to the big race on May 1. We would love to have any and all of you come join us for some fun. The derby museum has been redone as well so everything is ready and waiting for some visitors. We are only 8 hours from Springfield so it is very dueable for a long weekend trip and it is easy interstate all the way. I know you all want to come.



If you can't make it this month there is lots to do year round including museums, ball games, caveing, 6 Flags, the zoo and the Temple.... So keep us in mind when you find yourself with time off. We wont be back home until July and I am missing family like crazy. Hope you all are enjoying Spring as much as we are.

They had so much fun with the Parents as Teachers coordinator Bobbie.  They were searching for the laminated picture under the shaving cream.  Carsten had a fox and Dallas had a bear.  Pretty easy clean up too.

Baby Bird

Its been so much fun going to the DR about every week and having an ultra sound! Its fun to see the baby go from a little deformed gummy bear to a little baby with arms, fingers, hands and little toes I can not wait to kiss!! I'm so excited to go to Missouri next week and see mom and dad and show them our new little one:)

I can not believe the Lord has blessed us with such an angel! I'm a little mad at my Dr who was so kind to let me see our baby almost every week make me wate 10 more weeks to see our baby bird again!! LOL He should not have spoiled us so!!

Once There Was A Snowman

Peter had signed up for the ward talent show but then didn't have time to prepare anything. So the girls helped him out. They were really excited to sing and were great in practice. But when the time came they were not ready to sing quickly and then get off the stage. Peter sang it for them and basically pushed them down to melt. I was planning on taping it but it was over before I had turned on the camera. Lily was very upset that she didn't get to sing. Here they are coming off the stage and Lily was fussing that she wanted on the stage to sing and dance. She did not want it to be over. I guess we will have to practice on the stage next time so she knows what to expect.

I was getting ready to go visit teach so I left Marie in the living room on her green blanket and the girls sitting on the couch watching Diego. When I came back in the room I couldn't see Marie. The girls were lost in the show and completely oblivious to her. Then I could here her little coos and started calling for her. I saw the ruffle of the couch wiggle and a little eye peek out. I went to check on her and found her playing with the truck she had been playing with on the blanket. Apparently it kept rolling and she just had to follow. So I couldn't resist the picture. She wasn't one bit concerned being under there in the dark. Good thing I swept the day before so she wasn't eating dust bunnies.
